(No insurance please, it is considered a non-covered benefit, and most insurance companies do not compensate for the time, knowledge, and cost). There is an additional cost of $15 for therapy pads if they are needed. The pads are good for up to 15-20 uses, and are not shared.

What is Micro-Current Electro-Acupuncture with color light?

It is a highly effective holistic treatment using gentle, often sub-sensory, electrical currents applied through acupuncture points. Microcurrents are delivered in the millionths of amps range as opposed to the high-intensity milliamp currents used in traditional electro-acupuncture, TENS units, and other electro-therapies. Microcurrents are more harmonious with the body’s innate bioelectric activity. This can be far more effective for long-term pain relief and support of homeostasis than milliampere electro therapies.

Results are even better when a unique combination of dual streams of microcurrent and specific colors of light are used together. Color light enhances cellular and organic functioning, ATP production and facilitation of various mind-body healing processes. Both light frequencies and electrical charges are transported throughout the body via protein molecule chains. These energies pass through the crystal-like structure of connective tissue, which is the substrate for the meridian system.

Efficacy of treatment results is boosted by selecting colors (wavelengths) of light.  Some therapeutic benefits are noted below:

Blue for insomnia, pain relief, inflammation, acne;

Purple for Anxiety, pain relief, inflammation, acne;

Green to tone, lift muscles;

Yellow for Anger, to drain lymph;

How is it performed?

We use the Acutron Mentor which delivers a sub sensory micro-current with color light frequencies. In practice, it is actually very similar to traditional acupuncture. Using the exact same system of Chinese Medicine, I place the Q-tip probes onto specific points along the meridians of your body. The device then delivers gentle electrical pulses between two points. I also choose specific colors based on their therapeutic effects. This helps restore the healthy flow of Qi (energy) through your body, removing any blockages and clearing out stagnant areas, thus creating a stronger and clearer experience of health and well-being.

Diagnosis and Treatment is applied in sequential steps, with evaluation to see its effects, and achieve positive results within each session. This is in contrast to leaving needles in 20 minutes, and then waiting until the next visit to find out if it worked or not. This treatment plan embraces diagnosis of the causative factor in disease and meridian imbalance. Overall this allows for shorter treatment times with outstanding results.

How did I learn about this form of electro-medicine?

I first learned about the Acutron Mentor Device a few years ago quite by chance. I started getting emails about the Acutron for MicroLight Therapy, and Facial Rejuvenation. “Somehow, somewhere I must have signed up to receive this information?” At first I ignored them, and deleted the messages. Eventually, something piqued my interest causing me to read one then another one. Eventually I found myself checking out their web site, etc. I found about the seminars offered through their company, and I attended one. I went with the resoluteness that I was not going to purchase this machine. I was just going to learn about electrical stimulation with acupuncture to earn some continueing education credits. The founder and speaker, Darren Starwynn, was fabulous! The thing that sticks out foremost in my mind is that it was not a hard sell, and there was so much to glean from the seminar without ever purchasing the Acutron. However, we did learn how to use the Acutron with hands-on techniques. The results I was witnessing were amazing. It got me thinking that with the Acutron, I could reach more people that won’t try Acupuncture because they are needle phobic.

Plus, the results for Facial Rejuvenation using Micro-Current with Color Light far outweigh those using Acupuncture needles alone. I could see it for myself.
